I'd prebooked and requested a quiet. table with a high chair which we were allocated after a short wait. Just wondered why it hadn't been prepared in advance.Apart from that everything was super. Delicious hot food, friendly effiecient service so HIGHLY recommend

As usual, the main meal was of excellent quality. Unfortunately, the sticky toffee pudding did not live up to remembrances of past visits to Toby’s restaurant. However, the staff did their best to remedy the situation and finally accepted that the pudding was unfit to eat and deleted the cost from the bill. We will certainly visit again, if only for the main meal.

Toby Inn is what you expect. A roast dinner. Best not to arrive when the restaurant is quiet as quality declines if not busy.

We usually stop here when going to Cornwall the food yesterday was great had plenty of meat on plate and good choice of vegetables. Not sure if there was a staff shortage but table service wasn't happening, I asked our young lady for some water but never got it, when we finished our meal we decided we'd like a dessert, waited for about 10-15 minutes and in the end went up to the cleaning station and ordered it from there. Maybe we had been spoilt in past, maybe because of where we were sitting or possibly staff shortages, having said that wont stop us coming again, thank you.

Had a Christmas lunch get together with friends. Had a lovely car very, one person had a sweet which she said was great, the rest of us were too full to have one. Good selection of veg and very good price. Highly recommend
